Sharmarke Khadar is a Health Science major with a Pre-Professional emphasis. He is from Kansas City, Missouri. He plans on attending dental school after graduation.
He recommends that you get involved on campus with things that you are passionate about.
“There are clubs and organizations for everyone,” he says. “It is a great way to meet people who have similar interests. Also use the resources your tuition pays for, use the learning centers free tutoring, and go to your professors/TA’s office hours.”
In his free time he likes to go to the Rec and get a workout in. He is a part of the Graduate Association Student Board, Men of Color Association, ASH Scholars, Pre-Dental Club, and on the Student Health and Well-being Committee.
What made you choose Mizzou?
I chose Mizzou because it wasn’t too far from home and a decent distance away from where I could experience life on my own.
What has been your favorite Mizzou memory?
My favorite Mizzou memory was getting woken up at 6 a.m. for AASB reveal.
If you could have dinner with one famous Mizzou alum, who would it be and why?
I would pick Tyron Woodley so I could ask him about his transition from wrestling to mixed martial arts.
What should make students choose Mizzou?
Mizzou really has something for everyone no matter who you are. Mizzou will help you find your people. It is a place everyone will feel comfortable.
