Job Description

The MU Center for Health Policy in the School of Health Professions has an opening for a Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator to coordinate the expansion of current CHP projects and assist in the development, management and evaluation of future projects. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in project development, planning, and coordination of current and new projects.
  • Choose methodology for research projects, select funding opportunities to pursue, and implement program/project decisions with assistance from CHP leadership.
  • Develop and conduct surveys, interview guides, needs assessments and project evaluation plans.
  • Assist in developing, managing, and implementing program assessments and evaluations, tools, and systems to collect, analyze, and interpret research, continuous learning, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Compile, analyze, and assemble both qualitative and quantitative data; prepare in-depth reports, summary procedures, conclusions, articles and presentations; translate the findings into recommendations for health policy initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively to communicate data and evidence to complex situations in a meaningful and accurate manner. 
  • Develop exemplary communications patterns and routine collaborations with leadership team and research teams to develop data definitions, data collection schedules, best practices for data aggregation and display.
  • Create and implement best practices around sharing data with internal and external constituents.

Salary

Salary Range: $48,900 – $88,730

University Title: Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in health sciences, social sciences or other areas relevant to health policy, with experience in research, data collection and analysis. Three or more years of experience in project development or social science research. Knowledge of large-scale data collection/management, research methodology, and program/project design and implementation. Experience with statistical analysis. Ability to work collaboratively with a broad diversity of partners.

Job Description

Conduct analytical studies and data analysis that support and facilitate the planning, policy development, research, and decision-making activities for various Center for Health Policy data projects. This position will manage and analyze data from a variety of primary and secondary data sources including: administrative data resources, EHR systems, clinical and public health registries for the Center for Health Policy’s increasing volume of research and analytical work.
(There are two positions available.) 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, interpret, report, and deliver qualitative and quantitative data. Conduct all stages of complex analytical projects, including scoping research questions, designing, and executing statistical analyses, exploring, and evaluating new datasets, and developing new metrics and algorithms.
  • Manage, merge, and analyze data from multiple primary and secondary data resources related to population health, health care access and the determinants of health. Analyze data using statistical and presentation software for reports. 
  • Present findings and prepare results for presentations, including preparation of tables, charts, graphs, and maps; write research reports; design and publish dashboards.
  • Work in a team culture that includes sharing responsibility for analytical and administrative tasks. 
  • Attend meetings with funders and partners as requested to provide data analysis support, as appropriate.

Salary

Salary Range: $55,208 – $101,842

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience managing and analyzing demographic and population health data. 
  • Experience in project development, data collection, and data analysis. 
  • Experience in merging data from multiple platforms and structuring data to answer research questions. 
  • Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing skills. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 
  • Have an understanding of public policy and regulatory reporting related to the federal and state of Missouri Medicaid program, preferably with comprehensive knowledge of administrative and clinical characteristics of Missouri’s Medicaid administrative claims, provider, participant, and supporting data.

Job Description

Manage the coordinated organization, direction, and implementation of the Center for Health Policy’s MO Health Care Workforce project initiatives, with responsibility for overseeing and guiding the delivery and overall success of each project initiative to achieve outcomes and realize benefits of strategic importance to the Center for Health Policy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily project activities, priorities, and resources by providing operational and technical leadership for successful implementation of project activities. 
  • Strategize, implement, and maintain project/program initiatives to ensure that the overall projects are aligned to and directly support the Center for Health Policy’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage program/project teams, ensuring program goals are reached for optimal return-on-investment; coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives. 
  • Oversee the selection and training of project staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient project implementation.
  • Manage communications across all stakeholders by serving as the primary project contact person and liaison; coordinate organizational relationships with senior leadership partners, stakeholders, and sponsors, providing support in facilitating collaboration and coordination of activities.
  • Collaborate with department leadership, project sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, and timing for new project initiatives.

University Title: Director Program/Project Operations

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree is preferred, with formalized knowledge of the research process, and the ability to support researchers in project development, management, and reporting. 
  • At leave five years of experience in project and program management and administration, as well as in the development and implementation of applied and scholarly research projects.
