Brooke Godbee is a Health Science major, pre-professional emphasis, from Lohman, Missouri. She is in Mizzou’s Honors College and hopes to attend medical school after graduation.

“Mizzou is truly a home away from home,” Brooke says. “Everyone is friendly, and it is so easy to get involved on campus. Mizzou has endless resources for its students, and it is the best place to excel academically and socially. I feel encouraged to work hard while making some awesome memories here on campus! If you stay on top of assignments, try your very best, and put yourself out there, Mizzou will help you flourish.”

In addition to serving as a CHS student ambassador, Brooke is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority where she serves as the academic points chairwoman. She is also a member of Phi Delta Epsilon, the pre-medical fraternity, where she serves as the PR/Marketing Chair.

What is your favorite Mizzou Memory?

My favorite memories at Mizzou are football game days. Everyone on campus is rooting together and having a blast! Warm weather, tailgates with friends and family, and cheering on the Tigers makes campus feel like one big family.

What’s your favorite way to spend time?

I participate in a small group faith talk in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. It’s similar to StuMo and it’s an awesome way to meet people and talk about life!

What advice would you give freshmen?

College life is a lot different than high school. My biggest piece of advice is to just embrace it all. You may not feel like you’re doing the right thing, but just breathe and accept the change. You have time to figure everything out; don’t spend too much time worrying. It truly is a whole new world.

If you could have dinner with a famous Mizzou graduate, who would it be?

It would have to be Brad Pitt. I want to know what it’s like going from Columbia, Missouri to Hollywood!

What’s your favorite ice cream/coffee shop in Columbia?

My favorite place to get ice cream in Columbia is Andy’s. Their frozen custard is phenomenal; it’s definitely the best treat on hot days!
