Reagan Hopeck, from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, is a Health Science major with an emphasis in health and wellness. After graduation, Reagan plans to attend occupational therapy school.

“My best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students is to go to different club meetings and experience things outside of your comfort zone,” she says. “I think it is important for students to know that going to a singular club meeting does not tie you down for the rest of the semester, I think trying to see what you like and your passions can help you find a great group of people and enjoy your time at Mizzou!”

Reagan is a member of the Mizzou Disability Coalition which raises awareness about accessibility issues around campus. She is also a member of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega.

Why did you choose to pursue a career in healthcare?

The reason I knew I wanted to work in healthcare was because my dad was very sick while I was growing up. By constantly being in a hospital setting with my dad from a young age and being exposed to so many health professions it made me want to help others and make a positive impact on others’ lives.

What is your favorite study spot on campus?

My favorite study spot on campus has to be the second floor of Ellis Library. There are so many pretty windows and always a bunch of people studying so it makes me very productive!

What dorm did you live in your freshman year?

I lived in Schurz during my freshman year and made so many great friends!
