Beginning this month, Ginny Ramseyer Winter, associate professor in the School of Social Work, is the new SSW associate director of doctoral studies. Dr. Ramseyer Winter is taking over for Kelli Canada, who has acted as the interim director for the past year.

“Ginny has been a tireless advocate and advisor to PhD students both in and out of the classroom over the years and has participated heavily in the changes that doctoral faculty have made to the PhD program,” said Aaron Thompson, SSW director. “Ginny also brings an important voice to our leadership team and maintains our school’s focus to be student-centric and to elevate issues that we all strive to improve in our school, including her work on inclusive excellence.”
