Why did you choose Social Work at Mizzou?

I chose the Social Work degree because I’ve always had a passion for helping people. Social work has
been the perfect way for me to not only help others but also connect with the clients I will work with in
the future

What makes Mizzou feel like home?

What really makes Mizzou feel like home for me is the people. Once I found a community that
pushed me to grow and made me feel genuinely comfortable, everything else about my college
experience started falling into place. Getting involved with organizations like Sigma Eta Rho, the
Council of Student Social Workers, and even Summer Welcome events, opened the door to
friendships, leadership opportunities, and a sense of purpose that I didn’t expect to find so quickly.
Each group has given me a different piece of the support system that makes campus feel special,
and being surrounded by people who uplift and challenge me has made my time here both exciting
and meaningful.

Mizzou has the most welcoming atmosphere I’ve ever been a part of. There’s something for
