Amelia Divito is from Kansas City, Missouri. She is majoring in Pre-Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound. Her dream is to work as an OBGYN sonographer, but she says she would be excited for any opportunity.
“I hope to get into the Diagnostic Medial Ultrasound program here next year, and then hopefully graduate as a sonographer and work in a hospital after college,” Amelia says.
What is your best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students?
It’s okay to not know exactly what you want to do or major in. I came into CHS undeclared as a freshman, and through work with my advisor and the Health Science 1000 class was able to narrow down the specific pathway that interested me. I know it is very stressful when everyone around you seems to know exactly what they want to do, but it is totally okay if you don’t! There is time to figure it out!
What is your favorite Mizzou organization?
I love being apart of Sigma Eta Rho! I also really enjoy homecoming and think it could be super cool to be apart of the Homecoming Steerco Committee in the future!
Why should students choose Mizzou?
Mizzou has so many opportunities for you! There are countless clubs and organizations to get involved in no matter what your interests are. Everyone here is dedicated to helping you and seeing you succeed. Being a big SEC school has its perks but it is also super easy to feel at “home” here, and find that smaller school feel.
