Why should future students choose Mizzou?

Future students should choose Mizzou because of the resources and community we have. Mizzou offers so many great academic resources like Tiger Tutoring, the Writing Center, and MedOpp advisors that have helped me so much during my transition to college. Mizzou also has many clubs, intramural sports, and organizations to get involved in that have really helped me feel at home here!

What are you involved in on campus?

I’m involved in a few different things on campus, and they’ve all helped me find my community at Mizzou. One of my favorite organizations is my sorority. I’ve met so many friends through it and have been able to participate in a lot of meaningful service opportunities. It’s also been super helpful having older girls to go to when I’m picking classes, struggling with a topic, or just need advice.

I’m also a STRIVE peer mentor, which lets me support other students while building leadership skills. Every week, I volunteer at the food bank, which has been a really rewarding way to give back to the community. And as a member of the Pre-Occupational Therapy Association, I get to connect with other students who are interested in the same career path.

What makes Mizzou feel like home?

One thing that has helped me feel at home is my advisor. When I came to Mizzou, I had so many questions about my program and didn’t know where to start. My CHS advisor was a great resource and was so patient with any and all concerns I had!
