Annika Schimmack

Annika Schimmack is a pre-Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound major from Eagle River, Alaska. After graduation, she hopes to work as an ultrasound technician either in a hospital environment or a clinic.

“I knew I wanted to choose a rewarding career where I could help people and brighten their days during some of their toughest moments,” she says. “Healthcare fulfills these desires.”

Annika is involved in Sigma Eta Rho, the professional co-ed fraternity for the College of Health Sciences. She is also involved in Veritas, a Christian college ministry, where she leads a Bible study group for freshman girls.

What is your best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students?

Definitely to get involved! Mizzou is a large school, but by getting involved you can make it feel much smaller and more like a tight-knit community.

Why should students choose Mizzou?

Students should choose Mizzou because it offers incredible academic opportunities while providing a fun college town experience.

What is your favorite Mizzou memory?

My favorite Mizzou memory is rushing the field after the football game where we beat K-State off a record-breaking field goal.

What is your favorite coffee spot in Columbia?

My favorite coffee spot in Columbia is Acola Coffee Company, I love to meet up with friends and study there.
