Ava Millard, from Jefferson City, Missouri, is a Health Science major with an emphasis in health and wellness. After graduation, Ava hopes to attend an Occupational Therapy Doctorate program to continue her education. 

“Be kind to yourself,” she says. “You don’t have to have it all figured out when you step foot on campus, and you will have moments of trial and error but that is normal.” 

In addition to serving on the CHS Student Ambassador Leadership Team, Ava is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. 

Why should students choose Mizzou? 

Mizzou can truly be your home away from home. Even though it is a big school, it seems a lot smaller and like a close-knit community when you get involved in campus organizations. 

What is your favorite restaurant in Columbia? 

My favorite restaurant in Columbia is Shakespeare’s Pizza. 

If you could have dinner with any Mizzou alumni who would it be and why?

I would have dinner with Sheryl Crow because she is such a talented artist and was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
