Why did you choose Health Science at Mizzou?

I chose Health Science because it gave me the perfect path toward becoming an occupational therapist. When I discovered OT, something just clicked — I loved the idea of working hands-on with patients and helping them reach their goals. I also like that occupational therapy offers so many different settings to work in and lots of room to grow in the field, and a Health Science degree helps me build a strong foundation for that future.

Why should future students choose Mizzou?

Students should choose Mizzou because the people here make it feel like a close-knit family. From joining a sorority and meeting my best friends to growing personally and professionally as a CHS ambassador, I have truly found my people here!

Tell us more about how you’ve gotten hands-on experience!

My favorite hands-on experience at Mizzou has been volunteering with the OT Swim Club. Working alongside another Mizzou student, I help teach swim safety and skills to kids with autism. This experience allowed me to think creatively, build meaningful connections, and make swimming fun while supporting each kid in reaching their goals.
