Why did you choose Health Science at Mizzou?

I chose Mizzou because I grew up a Tiger fan, and I love Columbia. I picked the College of Health Sciences because they really focus on hands-on experience. Getting to actually work in real settings during undergrad was super important to me, and Mizzou makes that possible.

Tell us more about how you’ve gotten hands-on experience!

Working as a physical therapy tech in an outpatient clinic has by far been my favorite hands-on experience so far. Being able to watch people regain their mobility and feel confident in themselves is so rewarding, and I am so glad that I get to be able to play a small part in that. 

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Go into college with an open mind. You will be exposed to so many new careers and majors that maybe you’ve never heard of before; there’s a chance that you learn about a career that may interest you more than what you went into college expecting to do. I would encourage students to explore careers that spark their interest and know that it is okay to change their major because we have incredible advisors who will work with them every step of the way!
