What has been your favorite part of being a student in the College of Health Sciences?

My favorite thing about being a CHS student is all the resources the College of Health Sciences provides. My advisor has helped me stay on track and build a degree plan that works really well for me. On top of that, the CHS Career Service Office has supported me in preparing for my postgraduation plans. Altogether, these resources have made a huge difference in my success here.

What are you involved in on campus?

I am involved with Mizzou’s Pre-Physician Assistant Association on campus. This organization has helped me to network with other Pre-PA students, PA schools, and working PAs to further my career goals. My favorite thing about this organization is how much information they have given me about the profession and the people I have been able to connect with.

Tell us more about how you’ve gotten hands-on experience!

My favorite hands-on experience so far has been the real-world experience I’ve gotten through the University Hospital here on campus. Since it’s a Level 1 trauma center, getting hands-on experience in the Emergency Department has been incredible and is something I reference all the time. Being able to work with patients in that fast-paced environment, with guidance from preceptors, has been one of the most impactful parts of my time at Mizzou.
