What are you involved in on campus?

On campus, I’m involved in Greek Life, where I serve as the Director of Service and Philanthropy for my sorority. I’m also part of Letters of Love and the Pre-Occupational Therapy Association (POTA). Outside of clubs, I work as a Pilates instructor at the Rec, which has been a fun way to stay active and connect with students.

Tell us more about how you’ve gotten hands-on experience!
My favorite clinical experience so far has been working as an OT student extern tech at a hospital. I’ve been able to witness incredible patient progress and see how consistent therapy and meaningful time with patients can motivate them. I love building strong connections with the people I work with, and the lasting impressions they leave on me continue to shape how I see healthcare as I keep learning and growing in the field.

What advice do you have for incoming students?
I would tell new College of Health Sciences students to get involved! You can get involved in different clubs, organizations, or groups on campus. Truly, the best thing you can do for yourself is immerse yourself in a new community. This helped lead me to some of my favorite people I have met at Mizzou.
