Emily Eilerman

Emily Eilerman is a Pre-Radiography major from Troy, Missouri. She plans to become a travel x-ray technician.

“I chose to pursue a career in healthcare because I’ve always wanted to take care of others,” she says. “I also love learning new things, and healthcare is a field that is always changing and innovating, so there is no shortage of opportunities to learn.”

What made you choose Mizzou and your respective program?

I wanted to become a radiology technician like my grandmother, but I also wanted to stay close to home. When I found out that Mizzou had the best radiography program around, I was immediately sold. The second I stepped on campus, I knew I had made the right choice.

What is your best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students?

My advice for an incoming student is that it is okay not to have everything figured out. If you stay open-minded and are willing to try new things, everything will work out.

What is your favorite study spot on campus?

My favorite spot to study is the booths at the Rec Center, which overlooks the tiger grotto! The lighting is very relaxing, and I love watching the waterfall.
