Why did you choose Health Science at Mizzou?
I chose the Health Science Leadership and Policy track because I’ve always been interested in the management side of things. My dad has worked in assisted living facilities and other healthcare settings my whole life, so I basically grew up around healthcare administration. Seeing that world firsthand is what made me excited about it, and the Leadership and Policy route ended up being the perfect fit for me.
What makes Mizzou feel like home?
The CHS community has been the biggest piece in making Mizzou feel like home. Everybody is here for the same purpose ultimately, and making new friends and getting out of my comfort zone with new things has been such a big part of me calling Mizzou home. My professors and their level of care for each and every student make it so easy to ask questions, as well as reach out for advice, guidance, and anything that you could possibly need to know in relation to education.
How has your time at Mizzou shaped who you are today?
My time at Mizzou has shaped me to be a reliable and consistent student as well as an individual. I have learned lots of different time management skills, as well as how to be independent and create opportunities for myself.
