“Mizzou is truly my home away from home. The community here is so special and people here genuinely want you to succeed. I cannot say enough good things about Mizzou and my experience here.
What made you pursue a career in health care?
I wanted to pursue a career in health care because the health care field is always growing. As a health care worker, I will always be learning new things while also being able to help people who need it.
I chose to study speech pathology because I felt that it was a great balance between teaching and healthcare. I’ve always been super interested in language, reading and communication, and speech pathology combines those interests with healthcare super well.
What is your best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students?
You’ll hear it over and over again, but GET INVOLVED! You only have so many years as a college student, make the most of them! The more involved you are, the more connected to the Mizzou and CHS community you’ll feel.
What is your favorite restaurant/ice cream spot/coffee spot in Columbia?
The best coffee in Columbia is Shortwave, and Randy’s is the place to go for ice cream! As far as restaurants go, I love a good slice of mac and cheese pizza from Pizza Tree.
