Lily Zehner, from St. Louis, is a Health Science major with an emphasis in rehabilitation science. After completing her degree, Lily plans to attend physical therapy school.
“My best advice would be that you do not have to have everything figured out,” she says. “You do not need to have your major and the next 4 years of your life planned out. I had no idea what I wanted to do until the fall semester of my sophomore year. You will figure out your major and what you want to do eventually and Mizzou along with the Health Sciences department will help you find just what it is you want your career to look like.”
Lily is a member of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and serves as their intramural chair. She also plays on Mizzou’s women’s club soccer team.
Why did you choose to pursue a career in healthcare?
I love being able to help people. I have always wanted to work in a role where I could get to talk to people every day and help them live better lives.
What is your favorite ice cream spot in Columbia?
My favorite ice cream spot is Randys for sure. I LOVE ice cream, and although I think Silkys is better in St. Louis I think Randys is a close second behind.
What is your favorite study spot on campus?
My absolute favorite spot to study is Acola coffee. It’s super cute inside and very bright, I love studying somewhere where there is a lot of light so it’s perfect for me. Also being able to get some coffee and a little pastry always makes studying so much better!
