Macy Offutt is an Occupation Therapy Assistant major from Lebanon, Missouri. She grew up in a family full of Tiger fans, so she always knew Mizzou was the place for her. Fortunately, the Occupational Therapy Program was perfect for her as well.
“When researching Occupation Therapy programs, I was very impressed with the facility and curriculum setup,” she says.
After college, she plans to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant and work in a nursing home.
Why should students choose Mizzou?
I think there are many reasons to choose Mizzou. Mizzou has almost any degree or program you could imagine, so you will not only find your place here but you can meet people with many different interests. Also, if you like sports, Mizzou football and basketball games are one of my favorite things!
What is your favorite Mizzou memory?
My favorite Mizzou memory is beating Kansas this year in basketball. My family is huge Mizzou fans so to beat number 1 Kansas and get to the storm the court was really cool.
What made you pursue a career in healthcare?
I have always wanted to be someone who helps people and after spending time job shadowing in many healthcare settings, I knew it was the right path for me.
