Get to know Macy:
Why did you choose Health Science at Mizzou?
I chose Mizzou because I grew up going to Mizzou games and always loved the college town feel and culture in Columbia. I knew I wanted to study Health Science and become an Occupational Therapy Assistant, so the College of Health Sciences was the perfect fit.
What are you involved in on campus?
I’m involved as a CHS Ambassador, I’m part of a campus ministry, and I’m a member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association. Getting involved has really helped me feel connected, and the CHS community feels like one big family with smaller families within each program.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
My biggest advice is to get organized early and learn how to manage your time. In college, your professors aren’t going to remind you about deadlines, so using a planner or a to-do list makes a huge difference. It helps you stay on top of everything and makes the transition so much smoother.
