Why did you choose Health Science at Mizzou?
I chose Mizzou and the College of Health Sciences because I wasn’t sure exactly what career path I wanted to go down. I knew I wanted to do something within the health care field, but past that, I had no idea. When I first visited Mizzou, they gave me a lot of exploration opportunities. More specifically, the College of Health Sciences seemed perfect for me because you don’t have to have everything figured out to get started.
What has been your favorite part of being a student in the College of Health Sciences?
My favorite part is easily being able to connect with people within my major. I feel very supported and know I have someone to reach out to about anything. I also feel support from my advisors. I am someone who likes to have everything figured out, so my advisor helps me create career plans for myself.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
My best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students would be to not be afraid to say yes! That is the best way to get involved in things that will make your college experience so much better. There are so many opportunities for both health-related and non-health care interests, so there will always be something that you fit into.
