Madalyn Henry

Madalyn Henry is from Kansas City, Missouri, and is majoring in Health Science with a Pre-Professional emphasis. She says she knew she wanted to work in healthcare because she likes collaborative and fast-paced environments.

“My favorite Mizzou memories are definitely the football games!” she says. “It’s fun because it is a whole day event of hanging with your friends.”

What made you choose Mizzou and the College of Health Sciences?

I chose Mizzou and the College of Health Science because I wasn’t sure exactly what career path I wanted to go down. I knew I wanted to do something within the health care field, but past that, I had no idea. When I first visited Mizzou, they gave me a lot of exploration opportunities. More specifically, the College of Health Sciences seemed perfect for me because you don’t have to have everything figured out to apply.

What advice would you give to incoming CHS students?

My best advice for incoming Mizzou CHS students would be to not be afraid to say yes! That is the best way to get involved in things that will make your college experience so much better. There are so many opportunities for both health related and non-health care interests, so there will always be something that you fit into.

If you could have dinner with any Mizzou alumni, who would it be and why?

My dad is a Mizzou alumni. I would honestly love to have dinner with him right now.
