Why should future students choose Mizzou?

Future students should choose Mizzou to find their home away from home. Being more than six hours away from my hometown, I have truly found a place where I can be myself around awesome people. At first, I was nervous about choosing somewhere where I did not know a lot of people. Now, I can say it was one of the best decisions ever!

What are you involved in on campus?

Throughout my time at Mizzou, I have joined several amazing organizations. I’m in a sorority on campus, where I am our Philanthropic Coordinator, making sure all our members are doing good within our community. I am also a part of NSSLHA, the National Speech Sciences, Language and Hearing Association, allowing me to meet like-minded individuals looking to go into the same field.

Tell us more about how you’ve gotten hands-on experience!

My favorite hands-on experience has been the different service opportunities I’ve gotten to do around Columbia. One of the best was volunteering with Cedar Creek, where I help support individuals with disabilities during their equestrian therapy sessions. It’s so rewarding because you can actually see the impact it has on them, and it feels good to be a small part of that progress.
