Get to know Peyton:

Why did you choose pre-occupational therapy at Mizzou?

I chose Occupational Therapy because I wanted a hands-on career that would give me the chance to work with children. After graduation in May, I’ll be starting my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy this summer (also at Mizzou!). I’m hoping to eventually work as an OT in either New York or Chicago, and I’m really excited to begin that next step.

What are you involved in on campus?

I’m involved in Greek Life, APO Service Fraternity, OT Swim, and I’m a Health Sciences Ambassador. Getting involved in these groups made Mizzou feel like home. Joining a sorority especially gave me an immediate, tight‑knit community, and I would tell new students that getting involved will make your college experience much more meaningful and exciting.

How has your time at Mizzou shaped who you are today?

Mizzou has helped me become a more confident version of myself, surrounded by the community I built over the years. I’ll be walking across the graduation stage feeling proud of the person I’ve grown into.
