The Brainstorm Lab is currently in the 4th year of an NIH R01: Evaluation of Pain Signatures: Psychometric Properties of Imaging Pain.

This grant aims at tackling one of the most puzzling questions in pain research today- can we measure pain? With the utilization of MRI technology, the Brainstorm Lab is currently investigating the complexities of an objective pain measure that can be used by clinical scientists and health professionals alike. The results of this study will hopefully yield much needed insight and lead to the develop of new treatment strategies for chronic pain sufferers.
