County Engagement Specialist, MU Extension

LIZ HARRISON is a faculty member for MU Extension. She is a County Engagement Specialist (CES) in Howard County and serves as field faculty in Nutrition and Health Education for Boone and Howard Counties. As a CES, Liz works with community stakeholders to improve community well-being. MU Extension helps provide a link between Missourians and the University of Missouri System (academic research and services). Liz provides direct education in the community setting with courses addressing areas of nutrition, wellness, chronic disease prevention and management, falls prevention, physical activity, and food safety. She also engages in policy, system, and environment based community projects to increase access to healthier choices for all.
