Research Topics
Pamela Adkins is a faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. Her research focuses on infectious diseases that impact bovine health and food safety. Current recent projects explore the impacts of mastitis in dairy heifers and nonantimicrobial approaches to mastitis control in dairy cattle. She has a strong interest in molecular epidemiology of bacterial organisms and working to understand how different bacterial strains behave differently on the farm.
