Name: Dillon Falk

Title: Department Administrator and Clinical Operations Manager, University of Missouri School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry

Mode of MHA degree: Residential

What have you been up to since graduating from the MHA program at Mizzou?
After graduation, I worked for Tenet Healthcare in private practice administration before returning to the
University of Missouri, where I now serve as Department Administrator and Clinical Operations Manager for
the Department of Psychiatry. My role involves overseeing clinical operations, finance, and strategic growth
across multiple outpatient programs and faculty groups.

When it comes to your career so far, what are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of rebuilding and strengthening workplace cultures that were once struggling. Creating
environments where teams feel valued, engaged, and connected to a shared mission.

How did your experiences in the MHA program prepare you for your career?
While nothing replaces on-the-job experience, the MHA program equipped me with the technical foundation
and leadership framework needed to navigate complex healthcare environments. It also provided invaluable
networking opportunities that continue to support my professional growth today.

What advice do you have for MHA students who want to follow a similar career path?
Be genuinely curious and enthusiastic about every opportunity to learn. Say “yes” to sudden or unexpected
challenges. They often become the experiences that shape your leadership style and open doors you didn’t
anticipate.

What is a favorite memory from your time in the program or a class that you really enjoyed?
I developed lasting friendships with my classmates, many of whom remain professional peers today. I also
greatly enjoyed my internship and final project experiences, which helped tie together classroom learning
with real-world application.

Why should potential students get their MHA from Mizzou?
Mizzou’s MHA program is a top-tier, nationally respected program with decades of successful alumni. The
faculty are deeply invested in student success, and the program’s combination of academic rigor and
practical relevance truly sets graduates apart. I’m always happy to stay connected with fellow alumni and support the next generation of Mizzou MHA students as they grow into leaders in healthcare.
