Mansoo Yu joins editorial board for BMC Public Health
Congratulations to Mansoo Yu, a professor with the School of Social Work and Department of Public Health, on joining BioMed Central’s Public Health journal as an editorial board member. BMC Public Health is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles under numerous scopes, some of which include public health informatics and the social aspects of health determinants. Yu currently is the only BMC Public Health editorial board member from the University of Missouri.

Spring 2024 College of Health Sciences dean’s list
A total of 1,603 Health Sciences students made the spring 2024 dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list in the College of Health Sciences, a student must earn a 3.30 GPA in a minimum of 12 graded (A-F) credit hours.

Diki Lama receives Inclusive Excellence award
Diki Lama, senior student service coordinator for the Master of Health Administration program, will receive the 2024 Staff Advisory Council Inclusive Excellence Award at the annual MU Staff Recognition Ceremony May 23. Her nominator, Sue Boren, wrote that Lama’s “ability to communicate across cultures … ensures that the program provides a welcoming space for students, alumni and the community.
