Nancy Cheak-Zamora, associate professor of Health Sciences, is serving as the chair of the American Public Health Association’s Maternal and Child Health Section.

In honor of the section’s 100th year, APHA talked to Dr. Cheak-Zamora about how the section’s advocacy efforts have evolved and what’s ahead.

“It’s really important to develop our future practitioners and make sure we’re there to support them,” Dr. Cheak-Zamora said.
