Pediatric Physical Therapy — Featured Article
The Department of Physical Therapy congratulates Jamie Hall, PT, DPT, PhD, PCS, assistant teaching professor and assistant director of the Mizzou Motion Analysis Center, Morgan Woods, PT, DPT ’21, and Jessica Luechtefeld, PT, DPT ’18, PCS, on their recent publication, “Pediatric Physical Therapy Telehealth and COVID-19: Factors, Facilitators, and Barriers Influencing Effectiveness — a Survey Study” in Pediatric Physical Therapy. This article was named the featured publication for the July 2021 issue of Pediatric Physical Therapy. Watch an interview with Dr. Hall discussing study highlights and implications.
Physiotherapy Theory and Practice
The department is also pleased to congratulate Erin Dannecker, PhD, associate professor, and co-authors on their recent publication, “Perspective of Patients with Chronic Pain about a Pain Science Education Video,” in Physiotherapy Theory and Practice. Excellent work to all authors on this outstanding contribution.
Translational Sports Medicine
Additionally, congratulations to Becky Bliss, PT, DPT, DHSc, NCS, assistant teaching professor, and co-authors for their recent publication, “Gaze Stabilization Function Does Not Predict Injury Incidence among Collegiate Athletes,” in Translational Sports Medicine. Fantastic job Dr. Bliss and co-authors.
International Journal of Exercise Science
Finally, the department wants to highlight the accomplishments of Abbie Moore, PT, DPT ’21, and Enoch Yee, SPT, CSCS, physical therapy student, as first and second author on their recent publication, “A Community-based Boxing Program is Associated with Improved Balance in Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease”, in the International Journal of Exercise Science.
Co-authors also included Drs. Aaron Gray and Bryan Mann, as well as physical therapy faculty, Evan Prost, DPT, and Brad Willis, MPT.
