Erin Robinson honored for advancing accessibility at Mizzou
Congratulations to Erin Robinson, School of Social Work assistant professor and Master of Social Work program director, who received a 2024 Lee Henson Access Mizzou Award on Sept. 26. This awards were established in 2014 by the MU Chancellor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities to honor Lee Henson by recognizing forward-thinking students, faculty and staff who work to make the university a more inclusive place for people with disabilities. “Erin found unique and individualized processes by which to ensure I could continue my education and graduate on time even after two unexpected surgeries and multiple unplanned, extended hospitalizations,” her nomination read. “I…

Mentoring the health care experts of tomorrow
Students from across the College of Health Sciences participated in the Tomorrow’s Health Care Experts Expo put on by MU Health Care on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. The event was attended by hundreds of high school students from across mid-Missouri. The expo was designed to help these students learn about potential career paths within the health care industry.
