Congratulations to the Mizzou Diagnostic Ultrasound program, which was ranked No. 6 for Best 15 Ultrasound Tech Schools in 2021 by Best Value Schools.
In addition to a traditional Bachelor of Health Science degree for entry-level sonographers, the School of Health Professions offers an online Master of Health Science degree for registered sonographers seeking to advance their careers.
“We are excited to see the Mizzou Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program recognized at this level,” said Sharlette Anderson, MHS, RDMS, RVT, RDCS, associate clinical professor and clinical coordinator of the DMU program.
“We have worked hard to ensure that our students receive an exceptional education and unmatched preparation for entry to the sonographer profession,” Anderson said. “In addition to clinical experiences in a wide variety of settings, our students have opportunities to perform research, publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present at national conferences under faculty mentorship.”
The Mizzou DMU Program is one of the few programs in the nation to provide an education in all major areas of sonography within a single undergraduate curriculum. Graduating with experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Adult Echocardiography gives Mizzou DMU graduates the the widest variety of opportunities for employment after graduation.
“Mizzou DMU graduates are prepared for excellence, success, and leadership,” said Anderson. “They can choose from many paths to develop the career of their dreams.”
