Congratulations to Mizzou sophomore Grace Slaughter, a Health Science major from Grain Valley, Missouri, on being named the Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s basketball.

A standout on the court and in the classroom, Slaughter led the Tigers in scoring with 15 points per game this season. She has also maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in the College of Health Sciences.

Slaughter was named to the 2023-24 SEC Honor Roll and has appeared on the dean’s list three times. She is the second student-athlete in program history to be named SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year; Health Science major Mama Dembele earned the accolade for the 2023-24 season.
