Julie Kapp, professor and chair of the Department of Public Health, has been accepted into the prestigious Academic Public Health Leadership Institute. This highly selective program brings together deans and other primary representatives from the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health to develop visionary leaders who can make a profound impact on their institutions, programs and the future of public health.
The institute accepts a small cohort of leaders from throughout the nation each year. Kapp will join a group of colleagues from top universities to engage in professional development, mentorship and networking opportunities.
“I am deeply honored to have been selected into the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health’s Academic Public Health Leadership Institute,” Kapp said. “I look forward to engaging with this exceptional cohort of colleagues, expanding my leadership capacity and bringing new perspectives and skills back to MU’s Department of Public Health. My goal is to amplify the achievements of our faculty, staff and students while advancing our departmental mission.”
