An interesting fact about you (that people might not know):
I have a twin sister who also goes to Mizzou, and we just celebrated our 22nd birthday on Saturday.
What does graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences mean to you?
Graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences means I am able to hopefully apply for the radiography program through a two-year program after graduation. Being able to see where my future endeavors take me is also important.
What was one of your favorite classes within your degree track?
One of my favorite classes was my capstone class, Healthcare Organization and Leadership, with Professor Mark Kuhnert. I learned a lot in this class by seeing how examples within case studies done in class can look in the health care field. Being able to apply my knowledge from topics learned in class was helpful when solving the case studies and discussing them.
What activities have you been involved in along the way?
I haven’t been involved in many activities along the way other than my campus ministry, Revolution Campus Ministry, which I am involved in.
Who helped you during your college journey?
My professors helped me a lot during my college journey, as well as my academic advisor, Thuy Guess, who was very helpful throughout my whole college experience. She made sure I stayed on track to graduate and answered any questions I had.
What memories stand out from your time at Mizzou?
Some memories that stand out from my time at Mizzou are all of the traditions that are a part of Mizzou, especially being able to go to home football games.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are to continue my education by job shadowing in the University Hospital for radiography, as well as working more and hopefully getting into the radiography program after I apply.
What advice do you have for current and future students?
My advice for current and future students is to work toward your goals and always give your best effort so that it will pay off in the end. Don’t be afraid to lean on others for support.
