Favorite quote:

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

An interesting fact about you:

I know how to play the viola.

What does graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences mean to you?

It means a lot to graduate from the Mizzou CHS. I received my undergraduate and graduate education from this college, and I have gained an incredible support system that has helped me grow as an individual, student and future clinician. I’m grateful for my experience!

What was one of your favorite classes within your degree track?

My favorite classes were our Orthopedic and Neuro classes, where we learned so much about evaluation and treatment techniques for various populations.

What activities have you been involved in along the way?

Some activities I have been involved in include the Student Physical Therapy Organization, Neuro Boot Camp and the CHS Scholars program.

Who helped you during your college journey?

My family, friends and faculty have all supported me in this journey. They have always been there to support me and encourage me. My family played a key role in keeping me grounded and encouraged. My friends that I gained through this program were there to help me study, stay focused and have fun outside of class. My professors and faculty were always there to encourage me and push me to be the best clinician I can be.

What memories stand out from your time at Mizzou?

I have so many great memories from my time at Mizzou, so it’s hard to choose! All of my clinical rotations are memories that stand out because they were great learning opportunities, and I got a chance to make an impact on the communities I learned in.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to move to Chicago to work in the outpatient setting!

What advice do you have for current and future students?

Learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable! Try to expand your horizons, try new things and step out of your comfort zone. Some of my favorite experiences were things I tried for the first time.
