What does graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences mean to you?

It is a dream come true! It means I have been forged by the best faculty in this university, in terms of research and practice.

What was one of your favorite classes within your degree track?

Research Methods.

What activities have you been involved in along the way?

I have been a Graduate Mentor with the Office of Academic Access and Leadership Development; been a Teaching and Research Assistant concurrently; volunteered with Mizzou’s Caring for Columbia; and participated in the city’s For Columbia activities. I served as President of Christian Graduate Fellowship, Vice President of International Christian Fellowship, and Secretary of the African Graduate and Professional Students Association.

Who helped you during your college journey?

My community was a strong support. I was helped by numerous groups and individuals, including faculty. My current mentor, Dr. Aaron Thompson, and my past supervisor, Dr. Preble, were very instrumental in my success.

What memories stand out from your time at Mizzou?

The opportunity to mentor other students and serve as a Teaching Assistant. I carry these memories everywhere I go.

What are your plans after graduation?

To become a faculty member and continue teaching and researching.

What advice do you have for current and future students?

The fact that you got admission to Mizzou means the faculty and the university trust your ability to succeed, so don’t give up. You have more in you than you think.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Mizzou gave me the opportunity to grow and realize my dreams. I am forever grateful to those God used to bless me along the way.
