What does graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences mean to you?

Graduating from the Mizzou College of Health Sciences means a lot to me because it represents years of hard work and growth, both academically and personally. To me, it’s not just about earning a degree. It’s about gaining knowledge and perspective to make a real impact on people’s lives, especially in the healthcare field.

What was one of your favorite classes within your degree track?

One of my favorite classes would have to be Introduction to the Health Professions (HLTH_SCI 1000) because it gave me exposure to a wide range of healthcare careers and helped me figure out which path I wanted to pursue.

What activities have you been involved in along the way?

There have been a variety of activities I’ve been involved in during my time at Mizzou. I’ve served as president of both my fraternity and the Health Industry Sales Club and had the opportunity to be on the 2026 Greek Week Royal Court, where I was also named Greek Week King. Professionally, I’ve worked in the Trulaske Sales Lab as a marketing intern, previously served as a Jumpstart tutor, and worked as a CTA-C in 7W at the University Hospital.

Who helped you during your college journey?

A lot of my support came from my friends, fraternity brothers, and family. They were consistently there to offer guidance and encouragement throughout my college journey. Each and every one of them provided perspective and played a key role in helping me stay motivated and focused.

What memories stand out from your time at Mizzou?

One memory that really stands out is being on the Greek Week Royal Court. It allowed me to get involved with the community every single day for an entire month. Being able to consistently give back and represent something bigger than myself made it a really meaningful and memorable experience.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I want to gain sales experience to build a strong foundation and develop my skills. From there, I plan to move into orthopedic device sales so I can stay connected to healthcare while also making a direct impact by helping improve patient outcomes and supporting providers with effective medical solutions.

What advice do you have for current and future students?

Take advantage of every opportunity and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Get involved, build relationships, and push yourself. You’ll get a lot more out of your college experience if you do. You’re far more likely to regret the things you didn’t try than the ones you did.

Anything else you’d like to share?

A big takeaway for me is to approach things with a servant leadership mindset. Be willing to help and build connections with everyone you meet. You never really know where relationships will lead or how they might come back to help you later in life or your career. Treat people well and lead by serving others first, because in the long run, that’s what creates the strongest relationships and the most meaningful success.
