The Mizzou Respiratory Therapy program has once again been recognized as a top educational program in the country, receiving the 2027-28 American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Apex Designation.
As one of 48 programs selected by AARC for the highly sought-after designation, Mizzou’s Respiratory Therapy program has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the professional development and education of respiratory therapists to deliver the highest quality of care and elevate the profession.
The Respiratory Therapy program has previously received the Apex Recognition Award from the AARC, including as recently as 2025. The program also received a 2024 award from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care for Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentialing Success. This was the first time the degree advancement program was recognized.
