Kimberly Keller, Assistant Extension Professor, Health Sciences

How long have you been with Mizzou?

I first came to Mizzou in 1997 as a graduate student pursuing my doctoral degree, and I have worked with MU Extension programs since 2001.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in program evaluation, particularly in evaluating efforts that are designed to help individuals, organizations and communities reduce obesity and chronic disease risk. What I enjoy most about this process is discovering ways to best communicate program results to different audiences, whether it entails marketing a program to clients, communicating successes to funders or legislators, or strengthening the evidence base through scientific publications and technical reports. Understanding the fit between stakeholders’ information needs and information about program efforts is crucial for the sustainability of successful programs.

What are you most excited about regarding joining the School of Health Professions?

I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and discovering new ways we can partner to serve Mizzou students and Missouri’s residents!

What do you like to do outside of work?

Columbia has a great trail system that runs throughout the community. In my free time, I enjoy running or biking on these trails. I also enjoy traveling with friends and family and finding new adventures together!
