Mizzou Respiratory Therapy recognized as a top education program

The University of Missouri’s Respiratory Therapy program has been recognized as one of the top education programs in the country.   The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) selected Mizzou’s entry level Respiratory Therapy program and online degree advancement program for Registered Respiratory Therapists and to receive its 2025-26 Apex Recognition Award for education programs.   According to the AARC, the award is meant to recognize “the significant contribution of respiratory therapists and highlight best practices in respiratory care that are aligned with evidence-based medicine.”  MU’s Respiratory Therapy program has previously received the Apex Recognition Award from the AARC, including as recently…

Enid Schatz joins HIV-focused commission

Enid Schatz, professor of Public Health and associate dean of the University of Missouri Graduate School, is part of the Lancet HIV Commission on Aging and HIV, an initiative led by Amy Justice from Yale University and Keri Althoff from Johns Hopkins University. The Commission is dedicated to crafting actionable recommendations to improve both the quality and lifespan of individuals aging with HIV worldwide, while also addressing disparities within this growing population. Schatz is a member of working group two of five, focusing on the unique prevention, screening and diagnostic challenges faced by older adults living with HIV.
