The University of Missouri’s Respiratory Therapy program has again been recognized as one of the best in the country.

The program was selected for recognition by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) to receive a 2023 award for Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentialing Success. The award recognizes the program achieving an RRT Credentialing Success rate of more than 90% on the 2022 Annual Report of Current Status (RCS).

It also received the 2023 CoARC President’s Award for Excellence in Credentialing Success — given to programs that achieve a 100% RRT Credentialing Success rate on the 2022 RCS. Mizzou Respiratory Therapy received the same designations in 2022 from CoARC.

Graduates of the Mizzou RT program consistently score well above the national average on board exams. These awards recognize the program’s dedication to preparing students who can deliver safe and effective patient care.
