David Kemper, a bachelor’s degree recipient and current master’s student with the Mizzou Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences, has been selected to receive the 2024 Smallwood Research Scholarship from the American College of Respiratory Therapy Education (ACRTE).

The Smallwood Research Scholarship is one of four scholarships awarded annually by ACRTE to support promising students in the field of respiratory therapy. Kemper received this recognition for his research proposal, “Development of a CPG for transport management of neonatal pulmonary hemorrhage.”

In addition to working toward his master’s degree at Mizzou, Kemper is a respiratory therapist with the Critical Care Transport team at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
