Mizzou Occupational Therapy ranked No. 22 by U.S. News and World Report
New ranking puts the Mizzou entry-level occupational therapy doctorate (OTD) program among the top 8% in the nation. Mizzou is one of the best places to earn an occupational therapy degree, according to U.S. News and World Report, which released its Best Health Schools rankings today. Connie Brooks named executive director of Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment
Congratulations to Connie Brooks, clinical professor in the Department of Health Psychology, who has been named executive director of the MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment. Founded in 2005, the Thompson Center is dedicated to clinical service, research and training to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Brooks joined the Department of Health Psychology and the Thompson Center in 2015 and most recently served as director of the Missouri LEND program, TIPS for Kids, and a member of the Thompson Center executive leadership team. Master of Health Administration degree moves to Department of Health Sciences
The University of Missouri is pleased to announce that the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program and the graduate certificate in Informatics for Public Health will be moving to the Department of Health Sciences in the School of Health Professions. The move is effective for the 2023–24 academic year and coincides with the school’s name change to College of Health Sciences. Camp Catch-Ya-Breath for children with asthma
Camp Catch-Ya-Breath is a free weekend camp that empowers children ages 7-13 to learn how to obtain control of their asthma. The camp is co-hosted by the University of Missouri Respiratory Therapy program and Washington County Memorial Hospital. At Camp Catch-Ya-Breath, children with asthma learn the importance and benefits of asthma medication while participating in fun activities like swimming, hiking and crafts.
