To successfully complete the Radiography Program, students must meet the following academic performance requirements:

  1. Course Grade Minimums
    • Students must achieve a “C” grade (75%) or higher in all Radiography courses.
    • A minimum 2.5 GPA must be maintained each semester.
  2. Attendance as a Grading Factor
    • Faculty may consider attendance when determining a student’s final course grade.
    • Excessive absences may result in lower grades or program dismissal.
  3. Exam & Competency Retakes
    • Any test in which a student scores below 75% must be repeated.
    • Competency must be demonstrated at a level of 85% or higher on retakes.
    • However, the first exam score will be used to calculate the final course grade.
  4. Consequences of Not Meeting Course Grade Minimums
    • The student’s final grade in the course will determine whether they are eligible to be placed on probation and retake the course at its next offering or whether they will be dismissed from the program.
    • Remediation will be offered according to the Academic Delay and Course Failure Policy.
    • Two or more courses with below a “C” grade (75%) will result in program dismissal without opportunity to reapply.

Program effectiveness data

Program Effectiveness is evaluated by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology as a measure to compare the quality of Radiography and Medical Imaging programs. The data considered for Program Effectiveness includes Credentialing Examination Pass Rate, Job Placement Rate, and Program Completion Rate. View Radiography Program Effectiveness Data.
