Congratulations to Aaron Thompson, director of the Mizzou School of Social Work, for being recognized as the 2024 recipient of the Gary Lee Shaffer Award from the School Social Work Association of America.

This national award is given annually to an outstanding faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to school social work that extends beyond the expected duties of a faculty position. Thompson accepted the award during the association’s 2024 National School Social Work Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
