Small and mighty: MU School of Social Work ranked among best in nation

Increased research and scholarship productivity boosts Mizzou School of Social Work rankings. Mizzou is one of the best places to earn a master’s degree in social work, according to U.S. News and World Report, which released its Best Health Schools rankings in April. Parallel to the recent increase in these national rankings, the MU School of Social Work has also seen dramatic increases in grant-funded research and scholarship. Mizzou Occupational Therapy ranked No. 22 by U.S. News and World Report

Connie Brooks named executive director of Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment

Congratulations to Connie Brooks, clinical professor in the Department of Health Psychology, who has been named executive director of the MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment. Founded in 2005, the Thompson Center is dedicated to clinical service, research and training to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Brooks joined the Department of Health Psychology and the Thompson Center in 2015 and most recently served as director of the Missouri LEND program, TIPS for Kids, and a member of the Thompson Center executive leadership team.
