This dynamic discussion will explore leadership, innovation, and the future of healthcare from the perspectives of two senior executives. Sue Boren, professor and MHA program director, will moderate the discussion.

As Chief Operating Officer, Steve Smoot oversees all of SSM Health’s hospital, medical group and other major business operations across Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. He has more than 25 years of health care industry experience and a strong track record of success in strategy, operational transformation, physician partnership, philanthropy and community service. Smoot is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a recipient of the ACHE Regents Award in both Montana and Utah.
