Nishant Jain, database administrator at the Missouri Cancer Registry and Research Center, has been named a fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association. This honor recognizes his expertise in evidence-based informatics practice and his applied contributions to improving informatics in health care and public health.

Jain was part of the 2025 class of fellows, which was recognized at the AMIA 2025 Clinical Informatics Conference in May. He will continue to serve on AMIA’s Year In Review team, evaluating the most significant advancements, challenges and political initiatives in health informatics.

Jain expressed his gratitude to Sue Boren for her guidance and nomination and to Iris Zachary for her continued mentorship and dedication to advancing health informatics initiatives at the University of Missouri.
