Kelli Canada, associate director of research and associate professor with the School of Social Work, has been named the Marie M. and Harry L. Smith Endowed Professor.
The Marie M. and Harry L. Smith Endowment is designed to promote and support the work of outstanding faculty at the University of Missouri, including support for research and teaching activities.
The endowment provides Dr. Canada with $25,000 annually for the next three years, which she plans to use to support the operations and evaluation of the Integrative Behavioral Health Clinic (IBHC). The clinic is celebrating 10 years of serving mid-Missouri this month.
In addition to serving as co-director of IBHC, Canada leads innovative efforts to improve living and working conditions in Missouri prisons.
