Matt Krause elected to fluency disorder board

March 14, 2024

Congratulations to Matt Krause, MU Speech and Hearing Clinic clinical supervisor, for being elected to the American Board of Stuttering, Cluttering and Fluency Disorders.

The board certifies all new specialists in the U.S. for therapy focused primarily on stuttering and cluttering. This two-year term will be Krause’s first time serving on the board, which certified him as a specialist in 2015.

“I became interested in serving on the board primarily to contribute to maintaining and expanding standards for current and future specialists who work with people who stutter across the lifespan,” Krause said.

Krause also serves as an adjunct instructor with the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and the director of Camp Iceberg, an annual summer camp designed to help children and their families learn more about stuttering.
