How would you describe your research to someone who knows nothing about it?
I help children enjoy school. Children like school when they have friends, connect with their teachers and are learning.e
What question or problem drives your current research? What made you want to explore it?
What can we do to make the youngest learners get off to a good start? I have always liked working with children, and I’m an advocate of education. As noted by Horace Mann, public education is “the great equalizer of the conditions of man.”
What challenges are you working to solve that others might not be paying enough attention to?
I am interested in how we can motivate teachers and caregivers to make sure their behavior is aligned with their own values and goals and is consistent with what we know about strategies that work to support students/children.
